From flashy Rolls Royces to custom-designed luxury rides, Shaquille O’Neal has always gone big. Remember the time he spent $1,300,000 in a single day at a Rolls Royce showroom, just to prove a point? While the Big Diesel admits he regrets spending money that way, his passion for turning heads with jaw-dropping car modifications hasn’t wavered.

Apart from his love for modified cars, however, another reason has been his large build that not every other car can easily accommodate. And from the caption by Hot Freestyle on Instagram — “When you’re 7’1”, you’ve got to do things your own way” — it seems Shaq’s literal towering figure played a role in his latest project as well. The car in discussion is a Lucid Air, the makeover for which has been inspired by one of his prized possessions.

As shared by Hot Freestyle on Instagram, this Lucid Air has witnessed a transformation into a two-door ride that mimics Shaq’s Rolls Royce Cullinan, one of his crown jewels. But what’s a Shaq car without a personal touch?

True to form, the new Lucid Air proudly sports his nickname Diesel on the front and Superman logos on its wheels. If you know anything about Shaq, you know he takes his Superman obsession seriously. So much so that it even sparked his famous feud with Dwight Howard.

No wonder Shaq’s Superman logo isn’t just a one-off feature on the Lucid Air. It’s practically a signature on most of his rides, including his Rolls Royce Cullinan. You might remember the buzz last year when Shaq sent his Cullinan to West Coast Customs for a custom overhaul.

One of his top requests? A Superman emblem on the front grill. And trust Shaq to get what he wants—the final design was painted in burgundy to match the car’s rich finish.

West Coast Customs even shared the story behind this transformation in a YouTube video. Ryan Friedlinghaus, the shop’s CEO, recalled how Shaquille O’Neal has been a loyal client since the ’90s. “He wants to put a Mansory body kit on it,” Ryan said, adding that Shaq insisted on making the Superman emblem the centerpiece. The result? A car as bold and iconic as the man himself.

While it hasn’t been confirmed if West Coast Customs worked on Shaq’s Lucid Air as well, the striking resemblance to the Cullinan hints that they might have. Either way, it’s clear that Shaq’s rides aren’t just cars—they’re extensions of his larger-than-life personality, and this latest project is no exception.

The time when Shaquille O’Neal dropped $1 Million on 3 Rolls-Royce

Imagine expecting a $20 million paycheck—only to find out taxes cut it down to $10.9 million. That’s exactly what happened with one of O’Neal’s paychecks. But he wasn’t about to let his new fortune go unnoticed. First, he splurged on a $5 million house. Then came the story that’s pure Shaq—three Rolls-Royce, all in one day.

Here’s how it happened. Dressed in his Lakers sweats, Shaq walked into a luxury car showroom, just browsing. “I like to spend money, but I don’t like to waste money,” he said. He wasn’t planning to buy a $400,000 car. But when he asked about the prices, a salesperson, eyeing his casual outfit, dared to question him.“Can you even afford them?”

Imagine Shaquille O’Neal, one of the biggest stars in the world, being underestimated like that? Shaq then didn’t just prove a point—he made a statement. “I’ll take that one, that one, and that one,” he said, buying three Rolls-Royces on the spot. His only request? Adjust the seats to fit his 7’1″ frame. A tradition that has continued to this day, as reflected in his new Lucid Air.
