Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t love falling prey to Charles Barkley‘s funny jokes or his attempts at mocking. But sadly this time, the Lakers champion got played by one of Barkley’s famous jokes that went viral during the All-Star weekend. Draymond Green, who joined Charles Barkley for a special broadcast a few days back, fell victim to Barkley’s mockery. Following its big reach on social media, a TNT reporter decided to use the same joke on the Big Diesel. The funny part is that Charles Barkley was not even on the broadcast today and the Los Angeles Lakers legend still got played.
Famous TNT reporter Chris Haynes joined live from San Francisco to share some hot news ahead of the Lakers-Warriors matchup. Haynes wanted to complete the interview with a laugh, so he questioned Shaq, “You wouldn’t believe who just asked about you. You know who just asked?”. Shaq eagerly asked, “Who?”
Haynes replied, “Nobody”, and the LA champion was too stunned to speak. It was too late before he realized. The TNT crew burst out into laughter.

Shaq was in disbelief as he shared, “I didn’t see that coming”. Charles Barkley made the same joke with Draymond Green during the All-Star weekend. Looks like this is slowly turning into a trend now. Anyhow what’s sure is that, Haynes alone did not get the last laugh, Barkley did too.

Why couldn’t Shaq use Draymond Green’s way of getting back at Barkley’s joke?
The Warriors champion instantly mocked back at Barkley on live TV by bringing championships into the conversation. Green was wearing one of his championships rings on the broadcast. After Barkley continuously mocked Green, he removed the ring and told the 1993 MVP, “Here Chuck, take my ring”. Well, Shaq has four rings too.
But sadly for him, Haynes was the one who made a joke here. It would be too petty to flex your rings to a reporter. Thus, Shaq had no other choice but to accept defeat. It might have hurt his ego that this was an assist from Barkley. Let’s see if the 7ft legend can take revenge.
