Shaquille O’Neal reportedly claimed that he was the NBA’s version of 50 Cent
A basketball great and platinum-selling rapper, Shaquille O’Neal is a multi-talented artist. He achieved platinum and gold certifications with two of his albums. Knowing 50 Cent is also not surprising. Although they had been in touch for some time, the two hadn’t seen each other in person until 2019 when Access Hollywood set it up.
They brought Shaquille O’Neal onboard the set to surprise 50 Cent when he was holding an interview. Shaq began by congratulating 50 and the others before revealing that, despite being a huge admirer, he hadn’t seen 50 in person.

“I didn’t mean to crash, but she[host] said that 50 Cent is here. We’ve never met before, but we have talked about business. I’m a big fan of yours and am so proud of you! You’re doing a great job brother.”
Fifty Cent made fun of the situation, saying he was only trying to keep his cool. O’Neal went on to say,
“Every now and then, I have NBA beefs with other guys, and I always tell them, ‘Don’t mess with me, I’m the 50 Cent of the NBA! I’m telling you right now, you mess with me, I’m coming out with a mixtape.’“
