Shaquille O’Neal’s Daughter Spills Dating Secret Despite Father’s Strict Rules for His Kids

Shaquille O’Neal takes great pride in raising the ‘Vampire Bloodline’. The NBA veteran is a father of six kids and often talks so highly of each one of them. However, there are some rules in the O’Neal household, especially when it comes to career choices and dating. The Big Man has specified a particular age for his boys and girls when they can start dating. However, seems like his kids have grown up to be rebels!

Shaq’s firstborn Taahirah O’Neal was recently in conversation with Jordan Davis, where she talked about her dating life and how she proved her father wrong on his dating rules. Taahirah said, “I don’t mind sharing, I am dating right now.” However, there is something that the 27-year-old is very cautious about. She unveiled that athletes are off-limits for her to date. She said, “No offense to athletes but I was raised by, raised with athletes, it’s a no-go for me. It is a no-go, y’all keep that over there, respectfully”.

She continued, “However you want to take it, that’s how I meant it.” After Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter said that she had the “utmost respect” for sportspersons, Taahirah also unveiled that she doesn’t agree with her dad’s dating rules for his kids, something that the NBA icon has bragged about in the past.

Shaquille O’Neal’s daughters think his dating rules are ‘incorrect’!

Taahirah revealed her parents have been extremely supportive of her choices from the beginning. However, whenever the 27-year-old goes up to her dad to inform him that she is going on a date, she receives mixed feelings. She said, “My parents have been incredibly supportive. My dad…hilarious because he has been in the press talking about we can’t date until we are 35…me and my sister, we were like, incorrect”.

Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter said that she is a very transparent person, so she is often open to sharing whatever is happening in her life with her parents. She recalled an instance with her father where she informed him about her date. She said, “It was like last month, I said Dad, I’m going on a date, his name is…he was like ‘Okay, that was a lot. Thanks but I trust you'”.
