NBA All-Time lists always seem to cause controversy as fans rarely agree with them. A Philadelphia 76ers legend’s recent list caused a massive ruckus on the internet. It even led to many hating the 73-year-old icon. Leaving some of the most influential superstars like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James from the list, even a current NBA star was left in disbelief. Shaquille O’Neal breaks his silence on an NBA legend’s All-Time list?
Julius Erving aka Dr. J is a hot name on the internet right now. Revealing his top 10 players of all-time, the 73-year-old decided to stay old school by choosing NBA vets from the mid-90s. While Dr. J revealed he only included retired players, he did not bother to add influential players like Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, etc. He left the Big Diesel off the list too!?
Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young showed his denial on Twitter,?“This gotta be fake..” The hoop fans’ reaction was similar as well. However, Shaquille O’Neal had a whole different narrative in favor of Erving.

Shaquille O’Neal showed nothing but respect for Dr J’s list. While there are major differences between their lists, the 4x NBA champion shared in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, “Hey, man, I got no problem with Dr. J?s list. He?s the great Dr. J. He paved the way for all of us. He can say what he wants and nobody should say a damn thing about it.”

Shaquille O’Neal’s favorite duo hints at double standard
Shaq added a few current NBA players to his list. Stephen Curry and LeBron James were the big names that fans agreed with. Dr. J revealed Curry had a few more years to prove. However, Shaq, on his Instagram, chose himself and Curry over MJ, LeBron, and KD as the best duo.

Joining the three-point leader, Shaq believes “nobody EVER” can beat this duo. Also, at the same time, the 2000 MVP believes Dr. J was right for leaving Curry out. Nonetheless, a duo of Steph and Shaq would be unstoppable. However, would it be better than the iconic duo of Shaq and Kobe? That’s something we might never get to know.
