What looks like Bluto, sounds like Popeye, and is supposed to be Fire Marshall Bill? Shaq not following through on his bet. Shaquille O’Neal’s and Charles Barkley’s favorite NFL teams have more lows than highs. It doesn’t stop either from betting on them. While the 76ers legend believes his beloved Philadelphia Eagles will win the Super Bowl, Shaq hasn’t wavered in his loyalty to the Cowboys. The stakes get higher when their favorite teams are playing. Ahead of the Cowboys vs Eagles game, Shaq presented his odds on The Big Podcast last week.
No surprise that O’Neal picked his Cowboys for the win again. But his co-host provoked him to spice it up. Did Shaq follow through? It looks like Big Diesel would rather nurse this defeat quietly.
Adam Lefkoe suggested, “If the Cowboys lose, you need to wear, you need to do a funny hairstyle on ‘Inside the NBA.'” Shaq said “Deal,” with the bravado of someone who thought he’d never lose. Similarly, if the Eagles lose, Lefkoe would open the next episode of The Big Podcast with a bald cap.

Well, Lefkoe’s hairy dignity was saved and Barkley is triumphant. The Eagles beat the Cowboys a whopping 6-34 on Monday night. Inside the NBA returns from its break on Tuesday and the official Big Podcast social media had to just post a reminder about Shaq’s loss.

“Stay tuned to see Shaq’s new hairstyle,” they posted, heralding that Shaq will make good on this wager. He never pays up on on-air wagers unless the opposite person accepts ‘Shaq-Bucks.’ But he’s not off the hook this time.

The NBA tipped off on Tuesday night, but Shaquille O’Neal had nothing to show for this bet. The most he did was a Klay Thompson tribute with a catch.
What’s your perspective on:
Did Shaq dodge his bet, or is he just waiting for the perfect wig moment?

Shaq skirted around the bet
To celebrate Klay Thompson’s first game in the Bay Area since heading to Dallas, the Warriors gave out 18,000 Captain hats to the audience. The Inside Guys also wore theirs as a nod to The Captain’s storeyed career as a Dub. By halftime, Klay and Luka Doncic had put Dallas in the lead in a thrilling fashion.

It brought out Shaq’s “alter-ego” Fire Marshall Bill—yes, Jim Carrey’s iconic In Living Color character—because Klay was on fire tonight. The game ended in a 120-117 win for the Warriors, but Thompson’s 22-point outing, along with his back-and-forth with former Splash Bro, Steph Curry, made it a spectacular game.
Shaq’s Fire Marshall Bill won over the Internet but he didn’t follow through on his deal to wear a funny wig. Instead, he even ribbed Charles Barkley because his hat didn’t fit. Adam Lefkoe better call out Shaq on The Big Podcast for this betrayal.
