Kendrick Perkins opened a can of Shaq-sized worms and now they’re creeping to him. One jab wasn’t enough. The originator of Shaqtin A Fool launched a series of attacks on his ESPN counterpart by digging into his sordid past. You know the past that was Perk’s short NBA career. While Charles Barkley, also a victim of Perkins’ remarks, takes the classy silence route, Shaquille O’Neal also pulls his best Perk impression. It’s sort of making fans forget Perkins’ point.
Behind the scenes at TNT, Shaq captioned a Reel, “@kendrickperkins stop telling my secrets, you right i don’t watch, but i saw these.” The secret being Perkins claiming Shaq and Chuck don’t watch basketball games consistently for TV analysts and therefore have a poor opinion about the Knicks. Shaq admitted that’s true. But he remembers watching certain games in the past.
Specifically, he pulled up Kendrick Perkins’ best hits from his career from 2003 to 2018 with a sneaky Shaqtin hashtag in there. Shaq even imitated Perk’s notorious gum chewing for his 34 million followers. Perkins already proved he’s watching. He’s watching everything. And he saw Shaq’s provocation for what it is. Therefore he was under the comments of the post declaring, “This means WAR!!!!!” Update: An hour after he commented, Shaq responded with a sassy, “and.”

While appearing on a New York radio show, Perkins said, “They don’t watch basketball. I’m serious, they can’t watch basketball on a consistent basis. The only time they actually probably watch the Knicks are when they’re covering the Knicks on their game nights.”
A little disclaimer: This is how the two former centers operate. There’s no feud brewing. But they’ll drag the diss war for fun.

Shaq exposed “Tragic Brunson”
Fans have noticed that Shaq and Chuck don’t give the Knicks due credit for being a second-seeded team in the East. They constantly tout for their failure or talk about other teams. Recently, Barkley claimed that the Knicks would lose against the Pacers and Shaq agreed but also said they’d lose to Orlando. That prompted Perk to say that his TNT counterparts don’t watch basketball.
After Perkins’ comment, Shaq took the lazy analysis implications very seriously. He initially fired off on X, “Can a non hall of famer speak on two hall of famers just asking.” He proceeded to follow up with this Reel of Perk’s most embarrassing ‘Tragic Bronson’ history (to the uninitiated, that’s when a big man goofs up hilariously on the court).

O’Neal added another diss. “I don’t need to watch. I’m him.” He added the fake noisy gum-chewing to say, “That’s how you chew gum when you know you’re him.”
Now O’Neal has already invited the challenge since Perkins has declared his intent to drag it. Your move, Perk.
