All work and no play doesn’t make Shaq a dull boy. October should be re-christened to ‘Shaqtober’ because Shaquille O’Neal owns every day of this month. The Big Aristotle has a knack for making his multiple jobs a fantastic experience. From charity to dubstep, the big man has been occupied. The month has a couple of days left and he’ll surely be juicing every minute.

It’s hard to keep up with Shaq on any day. But for the sake of spook maniacs and Big Diesel fans, we tried.

Ever since he endorsed the Krispy Kreme Halloween promotion in 2018, Big Diesel has been the staple of this season. Fans have made it a tradition to bring back his hilarious jack-o-lantern laugh as soon as October rolls around. Incidentally, October also marked the return of Shaq’s Krispy Kreme store in Atlanta after it was devastated in a fire.

At the same time, the 2023-24 regular NBA season kicked off and O’Neal was in his analyst suit at the TNT studio. He’s called the first week of games and already triggered debates on the Inside the NBA panel.

Of course, the highlight of his season-opener this year was collaborating with Damian Lillard to remix Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s “Shaq & Kobe.” With the world premiere on Inside the NBA, the song marked his return to his rap roots.

This multi-faceted entertainer spent several days in the entertainment capital aka Las Vegas this month. He is a CFO – Chief Fantasy Officer who curated Shaq’s Fantasy Labs that launched in Sin City. The audio-visual exhibit is based off Shaq’s career and life, turning his dreams into a fantastical experience. Before the launch of his exhibit, he hosted The Event on October 7.

In its third incarnation, his annual charity gala supports his eponymous foundation. The nonprofit is a big benefactor of The Boys and Girls Club. Family and friends were at the center of The Event this year. He splurged $20,000 to get his mother an exclusive seat on the stage where she watched John Legend and Jennifer Hudson perform up close. He even crashed Anderson .Paak’s performance.

But October is Shaq’s because of Shaqtoberfest. After a break during the pandemic, he brought back his Halloween festival to California’s historic Queen Mary. The haunted trails event launched on September 28 and will be open through October 31. With multiple trails, this spooktacular experience leans away from gory to fun, blending hip-hop and basketball into traditional Halloween sights.

October isn’t over yet and Shaq has more in store for his fans.

More to come from Shaq

Between all he’s got going on, DJ Diesel didn’t skip his day job. He’s after a big-time basshead performing to crowd as massive as 15000. He launched his own music festival, Bass All-Stars while performing at other international festivals.

Currently he’s in Florida for more events. It was homecoming for him at Orlando as he led the pre-show at the UCF Knights game on October 27. On October 28, he was in Tampa, performing to a sold-out crowd at the Monster’s Ball in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
