In July this year, one of the oldest churches in Houston suffered major damage due to the impact of Hurricane Beryl. Pastor Keion Henderson and other members looked after the repair work, and in two months, Lighthouse Church was back. Even Shaunie, the first lady of the church, shared the update. And during the festival season, the church is giving back to the community, and it’s not for the first time.
“🎁 This year’s Nationwide Elf Christmas Shopping Spree at @Target was unforgettable! Thanks to LH Nation’s generosity, hundreds of kids picked out their Christmas gifts, with $30,000 spent to spread joy. 💙” On Instagram, the post from the Church stated about helping local kids and their families. “We’re already planning to make it even bigger next year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄✨ #LHNation #TargetGifts #ChristmasGiving #CommunityLove.”
Shaunie Henderson also shared the post on her story and added a sticker of giving season. Meanwhile, her husband added, “Thank you LH Nation for making this year’s Nationwide Elf Christmas Shopping Spree @Target unforgettable. Praise God for a giving church! 💙” In the video, he even declared it the “best Christmas” he ever had.

As per the video, 127 kids were in Houston and 100 nationwide. Plus, at the end of the video, they shared that 19 states were represented during this celebratory movement. Being parents, Shaunie Henderson and Keion also gave a give card to the kid’s parents. Shaunie stated that a $10 gift card from Starbucks was given to parents so even they enjoy their peace while the kids went shopping. As stated before, it was not the first time they did this.

“Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it’s all about giving. And that’s exactly what we did this Sunday.” Kendrick Perkins didn’t just celebrate Thanksgiving this year but brought its spirit to life. After spending a perfect gateway in Dubai, Keion and Shaunie Henderson were back, taking care of the others. Even though the tragedy of the hurricane caused some delay, the couple and the church family bounced back. And now continue to serve others.
