The father-son duos in the NBA world have been fascinating. But now it’s time for a father vs son battle, as Shaquille O’Neal might be ready to take up a challenge against his son Shareef. Who would win a game of eleven between the 24-year-old and the Big Diesel? Shaq has hit the 50 mark, and it would be hard for him to move around the court like he used to. That’s an advantage for Shareef, but the internet on the other hand had an interesting response to this possible 1v1 battle.

Shareef believes he can defeat his dad in a 1v1 in the present. Not just that, he also confidently claimed that it would be an 11-0 win. However, Shareef believes the Los Angeles Lakers might score a few buckets by cheating. The 24-year-old shared an Instagram video to explain Shaq’s methods.

“This is what he is going to do. He gonna back me down. If he misses it, it’s a foul. If he makes it, it’s his ball. Any time I go past him, he is gonna say travel or something like that.” That sounds like something Shaq would do. To prove Shaq does that, Shareef called his younger brother Shaqir, to confirm the above lines.

Shaqir was on the same page too. However, the interviewer was in disbelief. He said, “So you are telling me the most dominant center in the NBA history is a cheater?”

Shareef and Shaqir did not change their answer. What does Shaq think about this take from his sons? The 4x champion did not have an answer, but he reshared the above post on his Instagram. Does that mean he is ready for the challenge? We do not know about that, but the fans are eager to witness it.

Who did the fans choose? Shaq or Shareef?

Shareef is young and shifty, like any other athlete in his prime. Shaq on the other hand is quite slow at 52 years old, but he is still a humongous figure who will be tough to guard in the post. We do not know who will win this battle, but fans want to see it nonetheless. A fan commented, “Honestly need to see this go down,” hoping that Shaq and Shareef will agree to play each other.

The fans did not mind choosing sides. A user wrote, “@shaq would beat yo a***”, remembering the 2000 MVP’s prime presence on the court. As mentioned above, Shaq is a huge figure. He is slow but might make his way out, considering his career fg% stands at 58.2.

Another fan commented, “The disrespect of these youngsters is insane,” and went on a battle with a few other users to back Shaq. A user replied to the above comment, “Current Shaq is not doing s**  to him…you old heads need a mental check up.” However, this fan did not want to give up on Shaq. He replied, “Right or wrong im sure Shaq will run right thru them, soft like charmin”.

Here is another Instagram user, who doesn’t care who will take the throne, but wants to see the battle sometime in the near future. He commented, “We gone see dem play soon”. With Shaq reposting the above story, we can expect a battle between him and his son. Hopefully, he can save his tag, ‘The most dominant’, by defeating his son.
