Shaquille O’Neal and Shannon Sharpe are on completely different chapters right now. The 4x NBA champion and the NFL legend were beefing over their opinions on Nikola Jokic. During that, Shaq’s ex-wife dropped a memoir where she stated she didn’t love him. That led to Unc keeping the beef aside to defend Shaq. Ignoring Shaq’s diss track on him, Sharpe took to dissing Shaunie Henderson and her book instead with Chad Johnson on Nightcap.

He pretty much said that Shaunie wouldn’t be releasing a memoir if she wasn’t married to Shaquille O’Neal. “Because she was married to Shaq, she became a household name,” Sharpe said before pointing out that Shaunie kept her married surname after her divorce from Shaq in 2011 till she married Keion Henderson a couple of years ago.

Despite claiming he has no problem with that and he doesn’t intend to bash Shaunie, he didn’t have a positive review about her book either. While Shaunie said her memoir, Undefeated, is not a tell-all on Shaq, Unc still focused on all the mentions of her seven-year marriage with O’Neal. In the same show, he disparaged Shaunie for targeting the “father of your children.”

Unc and Ocho also discussed the meaning behind Shaunie writing, “Looking back, I don’t know that I was ever really in love with the man.” While Chad asked his fiancee if she was sure of her feelings for him, Sharpe was almost sympathizing with Shaq, who may have been under the illusion that she was in love with him during their marriage.

The most shocking part of this episode is Sharpe picking Shaq’s side while locked in a raging beef with the big man himself. The topic was unrelated to Shaunie, though.

Shaquille O’Neal has riled up almost everyone by promoting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the MVP instead of the eventual winner, Nikola Jokic. He’s been dubbed a hater for his opinions by most fans as well as Sharpe. The 3x Super Bowl champion also took jabs at Shaq’s only MVP trophy on his show to allege he’s jealous of The Joker, who has now won it three times.

O’Neal responded in a series of posts slamming him. But the highlight was a diss track he dropped directly aimed at Sharpe. “Oh no, Shannon Sharpe, you’re way beneath me. Your whole demeanor is faker than new rapper beef be. You’re soft, before you get fly you’d rather tweet me. I was in three different cars when you was in 3…” O’Neal rhymed.

In contrast, Shaq only has love and no diss for his ex-wife. But if defending him is Sharpe’s way of offering an olive branch, it might not work this way.
