Will the drama surrounding Dwyane Wade‘s painted nails ever end? Following the 3x NBA champ’s lively shout-out to Noah Lyles after his gold medal victory, criticism from netizens quickly followed. While the Flash remained unfazed by the remarks, his former teammate Udonis Haslem bashed the critics to defend Wade. Everything seemed fine until former NBA player Kwame Brown called out the Heat legend for defending Wade.
“Nobody’s mad and nobody’s hating, but there’s particular things that do not make sense,” Brown said about Haslem’s claims in his YouTube video. He further argued that no one is throwing shade at DWade, nor is anyone hating on him for supporting his daughter, Zaya.
He claimed that Haslem tried to mix up the two things. Furthermore, Brown spoke about how the Heat legend defended Wade regarding an old incident. During an episode of the OGs Podcast, Kyle Kuzma recalled that Wade once wore just a pair of blue tights during practice. While Kuzma described the situation as “crazy,” Haslem called it great fashion.

“Shame on you Udonis for not saying something. If the man said he felt uncomfortable you don’t laugh. Y’all was on the podcast laughing at a man. Would y’all laugh at a female? See this how this is where the double standards and this is where the BS come into play,” Brown added. But why did Haslem have to defend Wade?
Dwyane Wade’s message to hype up Noah Lyles landed him in trouble
Netizens mercilessly criticized Wade when he wore red and black nails to honor the Heat at an event. Just recently, Lyles painted his nails gold before his race, likely to represent the gold medal. Hyping up the athlete, Wade took to social media and wrote, “And he got his nails painted… Say something…”
However, this too sparked drama and chaos among netizens. This is when Haslem decided to speak for his former teammate. “Stop that. That’s hating. Stop that sucker a**,” Haslem demanded from the fans.
