After expressing his desire to return to the NBA, Dwight Howard has yet to find himself a spot on a team. As his NBA dreams are currently at a standstill, the Orlando Magic legend recently announced the release of his podcast, which was seen by more than 2.5 million people. As things were going well for the 2020 NBA champion, Howard recently felt exposed to something that he has struggled with in the past.

Although this could be looked at as a way to invoke intrigue and interest in his podcast, fans and media have started their own narrative online. Having been on the receiving end of negative stories, Howard was quick to issue a warning to his fans. Back in 2017, Howard revealed that the apparent beef between him and Kobe Bryant was made up by the media as a way to sell why the team was losing even with the roster that they had.

But back then, Howard did not want to face the issues head-on, so he left the team after one season. But now, Howard is not willing to let the media control the narrative, as he has publicly expressed his frustration.

Recently, the 8x All-Star tweeted, “Stop posting things and acting like it came from me smh ! Too many lies ! How do they quote me without me saying or doing anything 🤦🏾‍♂️“.

Although Dwight Howard has not mentioned what stories he is referring to, even though he currently has his hands full with his court case, this can be assumed to be related to the stories made by media and fans online after the announcement of his podcast.
