In a podcast of the Lakers legend, Robert Horry, they spoke about the hype behind the 7? 5, Victor Wembanyama. Robert Horry, also known as ‘Big Shot Bob‘, was a clutch player. It helped him win championships in LA, Houston, and Wemby’s new hometown, San Antonio. Notably, Horry never lost in the NBA Finals. Recently, he ranked Victor Wembanyama as the 3rd best player in his list of this year’s draft class.
Horry said, ?I am not even putting Wemby in the top 3, he might be 3rd to me.” According to the Hall of Famer the San Antonio Spurs big is someone to keep an eye on.
However, T-Mac says the league shouldn’t be overly concerned about him because there are plenty of other players in the league who are just as skilled and have the same build.?
Tracy stated, ?I am not believing in height?. we have seen this before, we have seen a player like Bol Bol.??
Rob addressed this on his podcast. While agreeing with the fellow NBA legend, he said, ?If you think about it he?s right, we need to hold off on him?.
This shows the level of competition in the NBA, even the #1 pick isn’t a shoo-in for the best player in the draft. The #3 pick certainly thinks so.
