Tesla builds dream cars for its ultra-rich clientele, offering everything one could want and what was once thought impossible. It’s indeed a fantastic choice unless you happen to be as towering as basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal. The NBA veteran recently accepted an odd challenge that could gain him $3 million. His host on “24 hours with Shaq and Bobbi Althoff,” asked Shaq whether he could fit himself in Elon Musk’s Tesla Cyber Truck.

“oh damn, you really can’ fit in a Cybertruck? Would you fit in there for $3 million?” Funny Marco asked. Rising to the challenge, the two headed toward the Cybertruck. In the clip, O’Neal was seen struggling to fit into the car, and although he eventually managed to squeeze himself in, it didn’t look very comfortable. The 7’1-tall retired basketball star appeared almost stuck and squashed in the cabin, which is otherwise spacious for people of ordinary height; 6’2 tall Elon Musk for an example.

While he may have taken on the challenge for handsome prize money, Shaq ultimately gave up and said that his truck was better than the Tesla Cybertruck. The two later checked out Shaq’s truck and that is when the NBA veteran admitted, “So my truck is better than your C truck.”

Shaquille O’Neal urged his son to buy a Dodge Charger

The 4x NBA Champion once shared that he didn’t want his son to buy a Tesla car. Instead, he wanted to gift a car to one of his sons for Christmas and asked him to make a choice. Much to his disappointment, his son picked a Tesla creation. What did he do? Not only did he refuse to buy him a Tesla, but he also asserted a different choice for him.

“For Christmas, one of my sons got all A’s, I was like, ‘Man, go pick what you want.’ So he come back with a Tesla. I said, ‘You better take yo a** across the street to the Chargers. Better get you a Charger. You ain’t getting no m**f**g Telsa. You better get you a Charger, a V-6 at that,” O’Neal said in an interview.

It appears the Los Angeles Lakers legend isn’t fond of Musk’s Tesla creations, but that isn’t the whole truth. According to sources, the Big Aristotle even owned a Tesla Model S. However, the issue of his massive size posed a challenge. Back in 2020, the big Shaq even urged Musk to create a car that could accommodate people his size.

Perhaps that’s the reason behind his frustration. The Big Man of the league surely would love to have a Tesla in his collection. However, it seems the $76 billion-valuation company would need to add a few features so that the Big Aristotle could fit in.
