Jamal Murray earned the Comeback Athlete of The Year honors. All the night was missing was a fitting tribute to those that couldn’t be amongst the crowd. Earnest as he is, Lil Wayne wore the Mamba & Mambacita attire to pay his respects to both Kobe Bryant and Gianna.
He stood on the stage with an LSU champions hat. It was his way of celebrating Baton Rouge’s historic NCAA victory. Complimenting his acknowledgment of the winners, he wore a black Mamba & Mambacita Foundation T-shirt. It was an emotional moment as the memories flooded back for the fans of the Black Mamba.

It even got the attention of Vanessa Bryant. Unsurprisingly, she applauded the legendary rapper for his compassionate gesture towards her husband and daughter. She posted an Instagram story about Wayne’s actions while tagging the official Mambacita Sports social media handle.
