His fu*****  aura is crazy, he’s like a god amongst men,” Ricky Blanco one half of the Famous Mexican Rap Duo said about Shaquille O’Neal. The other half of Coyote Guapo Cortes called Shaq the honorary third member of the coyote. They even called an award that should be given to the Los Angeles Lakers legend for the most random link-up of 2023. But how did this link-up happen?

The Los Angeles-based duo appeared on the Bootleg Kev podcast, where they spoke about the connection with Shaq. The rappers got the DM from ‘Big Diesel’ after hearing their verses. “I fu** with y’all, y’all dope as fu**,Cortes said, via the Bootleg Kev. He even mentioned the respect he has for Shaq’s pen game from the beginning. They conveyed that they wanted to collaborate in the future and Shaq agreed as long as it was hardcore rap. It was 2 years before the song was released and 4x NBA Champion was building relationships by sending them memes.

They revealed that the song ‘3 lokos’ was initially for the collaboration with another famous rapper Ghostface Killah. Since it didn’t work out and the verses were already ready, they sent it to Shaq. The 52-year-old was locked in and started sending them beats. Along with beats he also kept sending memes. “He’s also sending us memes and s**t of people dying on Instagram which is pretty crazy,” said Blanco.

Shaq has done most of his collaborations with lesser-known artists. They even revealed that there are more songs in the pipeline featuring Shaq. The second song was a diss track at the expense of O’Neal’s best friend Charles Barkley.

Shaq dissed Charles Barkley

The song was released 3 months ago and titled ‘RINGS’. In the music video, Shaq ripped off Charles Barkley’s head and dunked it! The rap duo previously teased the album 8 months ago on a live stream where O’Neal joined them on short notice.

They were on Back On Figg, a podcast live-streaming where Blanco dubbed Shaq his homie. However, others doubted it thinking there was no chance a superstar like him would be a close friend to an independent artist. So they suggested to Facetime Shaq. Well, to their surprise, the NBA star decided to pick up the call which the rapper flexed.

Meanwhile, the other Coyote took a sudden hit at a Philadelphia 76ers legend, “Play that ‘no rings’ man, dissed Charles Barkley on that b****.” Shaq is probably the most respected NBA player in the music industry. The rap duo spoke about Shaq’s platinum record as one of them went, “Only basketball player to go platinum.”

Notably, O’Neal’s debut album ‘Shaq Diesel’ sold over a million copies. The 1993 release makes him the most distinguished NBA legend in the rap game. The Coyote resonated with this sentiment. They added, “Shaq got all the accolades, Shaq a living legend. He bigger than life…His presence is huge.”
