Los Angeles went Beyonce-crazy this Labor Day when the hitmaker’s Renaissance Tour made its LA stop. Stars descended at the three-day concert, including the Wade-Union fam. Gabrielle Union was the scene-stealer with her bold and fabulous style. Zaya Wade came a close second. But Miami Heat champion and newly inducted Hall-of-Famer Dwyane Wade missed the mark.

Fans are aware that Beyonce made a specific request for concert attendees. Gabrielle Union with Zaya and Kaavia Wade hit the brief. But D-Wade went his own way.

It was Beyonce who said, “I hop out my bed and get my swag on. I look in the mirror, say, ‘What’s up,” in her 2016 track, “Hold Up.” That was probably what Wade was singing along to when he dressed for day 2 of Beyonce’s Renaissance Concert in LA.

Wade and his girls showed off their concert looks for the first two days of Beyonce’s LA concert. Gabrielle Union was the show-stopper. After breaking the Internet with a sheer silver number from New Arrivals on the first day, she stepped it up with a Stella McCartney silver beaded bra top on the second day.

Zaya complemented her denim corset look with silver boots and a silver Prada bag. The youngest of the brood, Kaavia, had silver accents over her outfit.

In their elevator runway show, ‘The Flash’ stood out for his contrasting concert look. He went black and white in a basketball jersey tucked into black pants accessorized with a black baseball cap, sunglasses, and a silver bracelet. The bracelet carried the Way of Wade slogan, “Make your own way”. It may seem nondescript. But Wade’s outfit carries special meaning. His white #24 jersey is a nod to basketball icon George Thompson. Before he played in the NBA, Thompson was a legend of the Marquette Golden Eagles. He’s worn the numbers 25, 23, and 24 in his lifetime.

Three decades after Thompson played at Marquette University, Dwyane Wade arrived at the Wisconsin school. He played there till 2003 before the Miami Heat recruited him. It appears that the three-time NBA champion chose this night to give a nod to his old team and its famous alum. But he ended up stepping out of Formation.

Mrs. Carter asked concert attendees to arrive in their “most fabulous silver fashions” at the concert. Her wish was to be surrounded by a “shimmering human disco ball each night“. The Grammy-winner also performed in her otherworldly silver looks. Her fans weren’t far behind fulfilling her wish.Gabrielle, Zaya, and Kaavia obviously hit the brief in the best way. But they apparently forgot to inform Dwyane about the dress code. But at least he got to relive his Marquette days with Beyonce again.
