Scottie Pippen has been on a trolling spree on social media. Apart from his cryptocurrency insights, he also writes about the stock market and nostalgic basketball memories. It’s been over two decades since he last stepped on the hardwood as a player, so it seems that he is making up for the lost time. During the recent game Lakers game, the Bulls legend brought his online trolling persona to courtside. And it was the referee who had to face the music on the other side.

On his X, the 59-year-old posted a video, “Only Scottie Pippen can troll refs by hiding the $Ball in the middle of the game…😂😭.” In the video, he hides the ball behind the back as the refs look around. In the end, a ref realized that it was 6x NBA Champion who was responsible for the mischief. She even said, “You fooled me earlier, not again.”

The post had a caption, “Scottie Trippen 😂,” which seems to be a play on his previous post on X. “Scottie Drippen… Keep it going LOL.” In terms of engagement, this post has over 2 million views. Let’s not forget his two most viewed posts of recent times. “How many championships would we have won with @Elonmusk?” Scottie Pippen added an AI-generated photo of the X owner in Bulls jersey #13. The post has more than 27 million views.

Another post of his was with his former teammate turned foe. Another AI-generated photo, where Michael Jordan and Pippen were standing against two robots. “Who would win in a 7-game series? Bulls vs AI,” wrote Pippen. Even that tweet has over 4 million views. So, the 7x All-Star has found his way to reach the fans after his retirement. One would ask why the Bulls legend was at the Lakers game, that too at the Crypto.com Arena.

No, it was not to promote his token. But to support his son during the recent game between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers. It was a double whammy for Scottie Pippen Jr. Not only did his team lose 110-116, but even his performance was not noteworthy. He only got 9 minutes to showcase his ability and ended the game with 2 points and 2 rebounds.

Though this may not have been his best performance so far, he has sure seen better days in the league.

Despite not playing this year, Scottie Pippen entered his name in record books

The former small forward had an issue with how the limelight of The Last Dance was on MJ. Since then, he has wanted to remind people about other players’ abilities and bring to them their share of appreciation. And he got the credit this year, in November, thanks to his son.

In the Memphis Grizzlies’ 128-104 victory over the Washington Wizards, the guard scored the first triple-double of his career. His contribution of 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists became a record, as both the guards got to be the first father-son duo to record a triple-double each in the NBA play-by-play era, which started in 1996-97.

Scottie Pippen shared that accomplishment on his Instagram, “Congrats @spippenjr 🔥 Proud to share this moment with my son.” Even ex-wife Larsa added, “🔥🔥,” in support of their son. That is why D-Wade also celebrated the historic moment, writing, “🔥🔥🔥.” So, his son truly has taken over the on-court duties. Meanwhile, the Bulls legend is happy with his trolling people persona and promoting his token.
