Since the Last Dance documentary, Scottie Pippen has received flack for his comments on the portrayal of his character. Since then, the Bulls legend has been in the news over his different GOAT takes, his ventures involving fashion, and, of course, his crypto token updates. His social media presence has been rampant, especially in the last year, thanks to his unique AI-generated memes. But recently, somebody questioned if the 7x All-Star is the brains behind the operation.
“This guy doesn’t even manage his own account.” A fan posted a question on X. To which the 5x NBA champion added a video and captioned it with, “What’s next… they gonna say Satoshi is running my account? 😂.” Even in the video, to clarify it was all his strategy, Scottie Pippen said, “Yo, what’s up? This is Scottie. just want to let you know it’s me using my account.” To people who don’t know, in the past year, the 59-year-old generated over 50 million cumulative views with few of his tweets.
The biggest hit, with 27.4 million views, was the tweet of the AI-generated meme Elon Musk in the Bulls jersey. “How many championships would we have won with @ElonMusk? 🤔.” Another AI and Bulls-related tweet was of him and Michael Jordan against the robots. “Who would win in a 7 game series? 🏀 BULLS vs. AI.” This tweet had over 4.1 million views. There was another related to his Bulls team, but this was a real photo.

A picture of him defending on the rim, with the caption, “No easy buckets 💪🏾.” His defensive display garnered him over 9.4 million views. So, it’s not the use of artificial intelligence that has helped him with views. Two months ago, his visit to the Lakers caused a delay in the game. In the video, he hides the ball behind the back as the refs look around. In the end, a ref realized that it was the 6x NBA Champion who was responsible for the mischief.
She even said, “You fooled me earlier, not again.” This interaction on X gained over 5.5 million views. So, it was understandable if people questioned Scottie Pippen over his social media use. But beyond the viral memes and playful antics, Pippen’s savvy online engagement hints at a broader strategy: to keep his name relevant, build his brand, and expand his reach. And that’s exactly what he’s doing, as he sets his sights on a new venture that could significantly boost his net worth.
