Sophia Pippen's TikTok moves—Is this a proud dad moment or just plain embarrassing for Scottie?

Here we go again with another hilarious TikTok trend taking over social media. Scottie Pippen‘s youngest daughter, Sophia, spends much of her time with her father in LA. Not so surprisingly, it’s often the NBA legend who has to join Sophia in her funny antics. The 6X NBA champion recently became the scapegoat in the latest viral TikTok trend that’s sweeping the world, including the NBA. Like many NBA families jumping on the “Just give me my money” trend, Sophia also decided to join in.

The father-daughter duo was joined by, who seemed to be, a friend of Sophia in a clip shared on Instagram. After the latter two said the phrase, when the Chicago Bulls legend finally uttered it, but instead of the applause that followed initially, there was an awkward silence until the two girls broke into laughter, leaving Pippen baffled as he looked into the camera.

“What happened?” Pippen captioned the reel on his Instagram post. This trend is all about a group of friends saying the phrase one after another in the most comical way possible, hyping each other, then leaving an unexpected scapegoat to face awkward dead silence after saying it.

Mostly, the scapegoat is the one who isn’t aware of the trend. Here is the clip for you to see.

Sophia, Pippen’s youngest child, has grown quite active on social media, boosting nearly 100,000 followers on TikTok. The Chicago legend has made a few cameos, sometimes even just in name. Earlier this year, the 16-year-old proudly flexed her father’s NBA run in a trend tagged, “rating things my dad has done.” Sophia gave a “100/10” for Scottie’s iconic dunk over Patrick Ewing in 1994.

Have an interesting take?

Seems like that’s as much appearance the 6x NBA champion makes on social media, missing out on the trend that has pulled about 60000 videos or more, one of which even comes from the Curry family in France and one almost missed in Texas.

Kendrick Perkins is riled up by the TikTok trend

Stephen Curry and his family also hopped on the trend last week. The NBA star who recently led Team USA to a big win against France to claim the gold medal, held his child in his arms, was joined by the Curry family in hilariously uttering “Just give me my money.” But of course, he wasn’t the scapegoat.

The target of this TikTok was Curry’s mom, Sonya Curry. It seems the younger generation is targeting the easiest generation. And as the trend quickly gains popularity on social media, there’s another NBA family, who joined in, the Perkins. During his appearance on the podcast “Road Trippin’,” the media veteran expressed frustration that his family members want him to take part in a TikTok video which is likely the recent one.

“I’m late that’s because my family leaving to go school shopping and they wanted me to do this dumba** TikTok which I’m not a TikTocking type dude,” Perkins said. Perhaps he needs to understand that doing a TikTok together is the latest way to show love to your family.

Other celebrities, like Mike Tyson and Will Smith, have already become the target while doing it; the latter with his ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ cast.
