One of them was even lucky to have their ceremony graced by Flash himself; Dwyane Wade.
An ESPN Journalist recently took the next big step herself, with many big names in attendance. Shortly after the big shakeup that plagued and spread throughout her network, she got married.

As part of an exclusive story, the website of People Magazine broke the news that ESPN Journalist Kelly L Carter tied the knot with Moreno McCalpin. They held the ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Hotel about a week ago. In attendance was former NBA player Dwyane Wade.
Prominent actress Gabrielle Union, Wade’s wife, acted as a bridesmaid during the ritual. Gabrielle took to her Twitter account to spread the news with her followers. She tweeted ?Beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple?, accompanied by various heart emojis and ?folded hands?.

The Miami Heat legend recently made headlines after purchasing an ownership stake in the WNBA team, Chicago Sky.
After joining ESPN in 2016 as a senior entertainment writer, Carter used her work ethic to rise to a prominent position within the organization. She currently holds a position as a writer for Andscape, a media platform that prides itself on highlighting and uplifting stories related to the ?Black Identity?.
However, given the recent turmoil at the sports company, Kelly Carter might be surrounded by new colleagues.
ESPN fired 20+ employees in a bid to save billions

In June, ESPN made the decision to fire 20 of its on-air commentators and analysts. According to the network, they made the decision as part of a cost-saving initiative.
However, prominent sports reporter Stephen A Smith claimed the decision was taken by Disney CEO Bob Iyer as a way to recover the $5.5 billion that the company lost in revenue. Along with the 20 people, Disney will fire an additional 6980 employees from its different divisions.
CNBC reported that among the people who were let go were former New York Knicks Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy and former Toronto Raptors player Jalen Rose. Both had given 16 years of their life to the network.

Unfortunately, analysts expect ESPN to announce more layoffs in the next few days. It seems like no one is safe in the Entertainment And Sports Network for the time being. Thankfully, worrying about her professional future has not stopped Carter from taking a step toward a different kind of future.
