The Nike World Festival was recently held in New York City amongst a whole host of celebrities. Stars from all across the industry joined to see the young and upcoming stars of the basketball world. Among the new rising stars, one noticeable player was the son of NBA legend, Carmelo Anthony. However, Melo was not alone in showing support to his 16-year-old son as his ex-wife La La Anthony also showed up in the Big Apple.

Kiyan Anthony was a member of the East team that won the championship game in NYC. After trailing at halftime, the team rallied back to take the lead in the fourth.

Following the win, the team celebrated with the fans and their families. Kiyan Anthony and La La shared a picture on Instagram of the Anthony family all together.

La La Anthony captioned the image “So proud of @kiyananthony – Nike World Festival this weekend in NYC“. Having separated back in 2021, it was great to see the parents get together to celebrate their 16-year-old son’s success on the court. With all eyes on Kiyan in the world of basketball, people are looking forward to the young star making it to the league.

Kiyan also posted an image from the locker room with his team holding the trophy from the Nike World Basketball Festival. Players were celebrating after their win against the South team.

The Nike World Festival Basketball 2023

The event was held on September 15-16, with various games throughout the course of the two days. The boy’s championship match was the last one on the card. They also had something that we don’t see in the NBA, and that was the King and Queen of the Court tournament. The event was at the Lincoln Center in NYC.

Celebrities and athletes showed up to the game, like Travis Scott, Kevin Durant, and Vince Carter, to name a few. This is a good place for the next generation to showcase their talents for the world to see. Kiyan, along with LeBron James’s son Bryce Maximus James, will be eligible for the 2026 NBA draft, and fans look forward to these kids making it to the league.
