Shaquille O’Neal is unlike your usual NBA icon. The LA Lakers legend boasts a wide range of skills, in addition to his basketball prowess. One thing that Shaq is most passionate about is music. He has been heavily involved in the production process since the very beginning of his career. The Big Man also boasts a platinum album in rap music.
So now that he has been retired for some time, music has become his primary focus yet again. After months of traveling the world for his DJ gigs, DJ Diesel is back to his home crowd and by the looks of it, he’s been killing it yet again.

Shaquille O’Neal is back in town
Music, especially hip hop music has had a long-standing relationship with the NBA. Several of our icons have tried their hands at the art form, such as Kobe Bryant, and Damian Lillard. This year, hip-hop music is celebrating its 50th birthday, and the NBA made a beautiful tribute video for the art form. In the clip, several musicians and athletes can be heard putting the decades-old relationship into perspective. However, Diesel’s love for music transcends into other horizons as well. He is a renowned DJ now and does many shows every year.
