All you have to do is ask. NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal fulfilled a fan’s humble dream in his authentic style. He teased his 2024 schedule while he was at it. DJ Diesel is expanding his brand new EDM venture into a launching pad for rising bass stalwarts. He may be a fledgling in the EDM business but he’s establishing himself as the mogul of the genre.

Shaq’s keeping an open call for scouting fresh talent in this music genre. And he’s giving them the stage to prove their talent as well.

Christmas came extra early for one lucky fan. Shaquille O’Neal caught sight of her little wish and made it come true two months in advance. Now this fan is going to have a busy Christmas and start the New Year alongside Big Diesel himself.

It started with headbangers remarking that music festivals don’t have new performers anymore. Shaq told those people, “WE. NEED. FRESH. TALENT ticket sales are important but not everything.”

A certain X user saw the opportunity and hit up So&So, an up-and-coming DJ and producer. She responded with, “MY DREAM to play for
@djdiesel.”
DJ Diesel heard her plea. He immediately quoted her with an offer, “Then I need you on my @missionballroom show Jan 5.”

Her response was understandable, “OMFG BRO WHAT.” The bass girl is also getting support from her fanbase, who is directly endorsing her to Shaq.

This local EDM talent is not the only one getting the NBA All-Star-turned-EDM All-Star’s attention. A few others responded to Shaq’s call for fresh talent. He responded positively as well, telling them to send them his samples.

This also confirmed that Shaq has a show coming on January 5, 2024, at the Denver, Colorado auditorium, Mission Ballroom. He performed at the same venue earlier this year, where he gave out a scouting call. He invited his favorite female DJs to launch an all-female edition of his festival, Shaq’s Bass All-Stars.

DJ Diesel the bass mogul

Along with his multi-faceted entertainment career, the Los Angeles Lakers legend made a smooth transition to deejaying in a grand way. He pulled off what most newbie DJs can’t, rocking the main stages of the biggest music festivals in the world. After headlining venues like Lost Lands and Lollapalooza, he created a moshpit of his own.

He soft-launched with medium-scale events. Like the all-female DJ event of Bass All-Stars at Denver’s Mission Ballroom in September. He grew it to an event of 15,000 attendees in Fort Worth, Texas that same moment. He likened performing to big crowds to the thrill of playing a championship game with this two-stage event and a lineup to behold.
