Apart from his love and devotion towards the game of basketball, the Late Kobe Bryant was also a big fan of professional baseball. As a Laker and a long-time resident of Los Angeles, the 5x NBA champion was an open supporter of the ‘L.A. Dodgers’. At the home games, Bryant was often seen in the crowd enjoying the game. He was also given the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the Dodgers’ game against the San Diego Padres in 2000.

Professional American baseball player Zac Gallen helped the ?Arizona Diamondbacks? to a crucial win over ?Los Angeles Dodgers? a few days ago. After Arizona went up 2-0 against the Dodgers, the series was continued in Phoenix. The ?Arizona Diamondbacks? eliminated their NL West rival (L.A. Dodgers) after their 4-2 win over them in the NLDS (National League Division Series).

In the recent post-game interview after the 2-0 win, Zac Gallen repeats one of the late Kobe Bryant?s famous quotes. After the interview asks the Diamondbacks? pitcher how he felt about the win over L.A., Zac Gallen replies, ?Job?s not finished, really. It?s the quote Kobe was talking about, What?s there to be happy about, really??.

He further says, ?I think it?s a good spot for us to be in playing with a little confidence. I don?t think it?s any secret we?ve come in here (at Dodger Stadium) and struggled. So I think it was good for us just mentally (for) ourselves to come in here and set the tone, have a little faith in ourselves.?. The Arizona pitcher is definitely inspired by the late Lakers legend?s quote from the 2009 NBA Finals as he mentions, ?I grew up, I was a Jordan guy ? and I think Kobe was the closest to it just in terms of the mentality.?.
