The latter has had quite an MJ-esque impact on the league. With both men acting as pioneers of their generations, Curry and Jordan have helped redefine the game of basketball. Sharing multiple similarities, like being a part of a dynasty and playing golf, the two are quite similar in many aspects. The two men also don’t like to lose, which the duo spoke about in an interview a few years back.

A clip from Steph’s 2021 interview with Michael Jordan recently did rounds on the internet as the two discussed the topic of losing. The snippet was taken from Curry’s YouTube channel and stemmed from a conversation between MJ and himself during the 2021 Ryder Cup.
Shared by a handle named ‘determinedhub’ on Instagram, the reel showed the Warriors icon interviewing the Bulls legend as they shared drops of wisdom.

Speaking to MJ, Curry states that he hates losing, whether it be in golf, basketball, or life. Calling it the “worst feeling” the 4x NBA champion explained. “For me losing, just is the worst feeling in life, in anything.”
Reiterating the point made by GSW’s number 30, Michael then states. “I hate losing, that is not even a question.” Continuing the discussion, MJ surprisingly revealed that he “respects losing” as he understands it’s a part of winning. Furthermore, explaining his statement, he replied. “You never just win, you gotta lose to win.”

Is Michael Jordan really okay with losing?
Although surprisingly stating that he “respects losing,” it isn’t normal for MJ to do so. With his special trait being his competitiveness, losing is not really Jordan’s forte. Reflected by the 6x NBA champions’ statement of his “kick a*s” mentality, it is common knowledge that Jordan hates losing.

His comments to Curry seem to be a pep talk of sorts as they clearly contradict his real-life actions. Jordan has always been a fierce competitor, with him famous for taking things personally.
