Charles Barkley has had enough! Throughout his 16 years in the NBA and even after that, Sir Charles has had his share of disturbing fan interactions. And sometimes the media veteran loses his calm over the misbehavior by the rude fans. In the latest instance, Chuck even threatened to hurt a fan who insulted him.

He didn’t do it, but this incident garnered a lot of attention, with many calling out the fans for throwing unnecessary shade at the NBA legend. This occurred during Chuck’s recent visit to Dallas for the Mavericks Game. The Game 5 of the Conference Finals. A fan insulted him for his lack of championship rings. What exactly did the fan say that angered Barkley?

The guy with no championship rings. He sucked at basketball. Zero rings, haha. He has zero rings. You’re Jordan’s son. Imagine not winning an NBA championship, a random fan sporting a Luka Doncic jersey said as he pointed his finger at the legend. This was quite disrespectful indeed! After the fan commented, Chuck looked back at the heckler and said, He would’ve felt bad If I would’ve punched him in the face.”

That is when security intervened, and as the Phoenix Suns legend realized that his threat worked and stopped the fan from insulting him again, Chuck left. The 11X NBA All-Star gave the heckler a taste of his own medicine. Many netizens on social media claimed that the fan unnecessarily disrespected the NBA legend. The lack of champion ring drama has indeed been stretched quite long enough with continuous criticism toward Chuck.

Charles Barkley gets criticized for not winning an NBA championship ring

Most of the time, Charles Barkley gets called out by his TNT Inside the NBA colleagues. However, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith have always only meant it as a hilarious jibe at Chuck. Both O’Neal and The Jet are well aware of the contributions Barkley has made in the leagueBarkley made fun of O’Neal’s last days of his career in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He suggested how the Big Aristotle chose 33 as his jersey number because that is how much he scored in 2 months.That’s how many points he had in two months, Barkley said. To get back at his colleague, the Los Angeles Lakers legend said, Like I got four rings and you got none. There are numerous such instances however, none were aimed at disrespecting the legend.

Not just the NBA veterans, but many fans sing praises of how Barkley led the Phoenix Suns to the NBA Finals in 1993. He even won the MVP that year. He is the tenth player in the league to score 20,000  points and 10,000 rebounds. And if only Chuck just had the right elements and fate by his side, he would have won against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

The Hall of Famer has been criticized too many times for his lack of a championship ring as if that alone can measure a player’s greatness. Not only the Philadephia 76ers legend’s numerous accolades, including the MVP title but also his playing style made him one of the best in the league.
