“Basketball is one of the most popular sports in the region,” said Grant Chum, CEO and President of Sands China Ltd., at the announcement. He explained, “We are delighted to host the NBA Legends Celebrity Game at The Venetian Arena, which we have upgraded and transformed into a dynamic venue that is best in class for live entertainment, sports, and MICE events.”
Chum also highlighted how this event ties into Sands’ commitment to tourism and sports, aiming to craft unforgettable experiences for fans from across Asia and the local community alike.

The lineup for this game isn’t short on firepower. Six NBA legends will come back from retirement to embrace the court, including Hall of Famers like seven-time All-Star Tracy McGrady, two-time NBA champion Ray Allen, and four-time NBA champion Tony Parker. Joining them will be fan-favorites Stephon Marbury, who made waves in both the NBA and the CBA, four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, and the sharp-shooting Houston Rockets legend, Cuttino Mobley.

Set to take place on December 7, the NBA Legends Celebrity Game will took place at the newly renovated Venetian Arena. Previously known as the Cotai Arena, the revamped venue now boasts 14,000 seats and premium VIP amenities, ready to host this star-studded event.

Adding to the excitement, the NBA Legends Celebrity Game isn’t just about the players. Fans can expect a full show, featuring an NBA dance team, a slam dunk contest, and a shooting and skills challenge. But it’s not all about hoops—pop culture will also play a big part too. Hong Kong pop icons Sammi Cheng and Raymond Lam will also be hitting the stage, making it a night where basketball and entertainment truly collide.

Tickets go live on November 7 at noon, with choices ranging from VVIP Floor seats for MOP/HKD 3,688 to D Reserve for MOP/HKD 388. Tickets will be available through Cotai Ticketing, Macau Ticket, and Ctrip.
On top of that, Sands China has made technical upgrades to the arena, including improvements to its acoustics. The company confirmed in a press release that these upgrades will make it the “best arena acoustics” in the city, ensuring fans won’t miss a beat—whether it’s on the court or on stage.
