Being a Stephen Curry fan, Quincy Olivari may have completed one full-circle moment, but another still remains. And it turns out this one lies in the hands of TNT and the likes of Shaquille O’Neal. But the network may have to hurry, considering that the legal battle with the NBA may not go as per their desire and this could be the last season for the show.
No wonder Quincy’s mom, Courtney Olivari, herself appealed to the network to make it happen for her 23-year-old son. “@NBAonTNT @InsideTheNBAFul now that @quincyolivari is a Laker, please invite him on the show for a full circle moment. He used to help me deliver the birthday cakes for the guys!” She wrote on X. Sharing multiple photos from Quincy’s visit to sets of TNT during his childhood days.
The photos featured him with Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and more, along with the aforementioned cakes. Now, with Quincy wearing the Lakers jersey, it feels like the perfect time to revisit those memories, right? For those who are wondering how all of it came to turn into reality for the guard who went undrafted this year, Olivari recently made a strong impression in four preseason games with the Lakers.

If you caught those games, you might remember his standout moment against the Milwaukee Bucks. Pouring in 11 points in the fourth quarter, he helped the Lakers secure their first win under new coach JJ Redick. And he didn’t just stop there. When the Lakers rested their starters against the Warriors in their final preseason game, Olivari stepped up again. He led the team with 22 points, including five 3-pointers.
It’s hard to believe he went undrafted, right? But the Georgia native has been turning heads since his college days. While there had been a hint of inconsistency during his run with Rice Owls, his lone season with Xavier Musketeers was no less than impressive.
The 23-year-old averaged 19.1 points, and 5.6 rebounds, leading the Big East in three-point shooting percentage (.409). No wonder the Lakers converted Olivari’s Exhibit 10 contract to a two-way contract, releasing Colin Castleton and Grayson Murphy to make room, it seems.

Quincy Olivari’s full circle moment with Stephen Curry
In a heartwarming occasion during the Los Angeles Lakers’ preseason finale against the Golden State Warriors, rookie Quincy Olivari experienced a full-circle encounter with his idol, Step Curry. Imagine this—you’re 23 years old, standing face-to-face with the person you’ve admired since you were a kid. For Olivari, that person was none other than the 4x NBA champ from the Warriors.
The story between these two goes way back. The Lakers rookie once shared a video from years ago when Curry had signed his Curry jersey. Fast forward to Friday night, and there he was, wearing his own NBA jersey, talking to the same man who had inspired him for years.

“I liked him since I was in 6th grade… that’s my favorite player ever,” Olivari shared during the media interaction. “The first thing he told me was ‘I’m a big fan of your game’… I used to sleep under that jersey. That meant the world to me.”
But what about Curry? Well, he felt the magic of the moment too. After the game, he hopped onto Instagram, leaving a message for Quincy Olivari–“… Appreciate you for being a real one and letting me know the history”. Now it’s to be seen if Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, or TNT itself also responds to the Lakers rookie’s mother’s appeal of having him on the show.
