While a lot of fans feel Green deserves to be in the HoF, many are still not convinced. Notably, former star Gilbert Arenas openly stated that Green does not qualify for the HoF. The 3x NBA All-Star claimed that Green would not be able to make a claim for the HoF if you take away his titles. He also said that the HoF should be only for the best player and also for a great #2 in a team.
Notably, Green’s numbers are very close to 7x NBA champion Robert Horry who was not inducted into the HoF as he is considered a role player. Furthermore, as Green enters the twilight of his career, his numbers could go down more.
