All eyes await to witness the ‘Ring of Honor’, which is set to take place on January 12 at the United Center, starring several legends like Dennis Rodman, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, etc. But before that, the Chicago Bulls have teased how grand the ceremony is going to look like, through the internet. Surprisingly, Los Angeles Lakers icon Magic Johnson has played a part in it. In the Bulls’ separate tribute to all the ‘Ring of Honor’ members, Johnson played a small role for Pippen, as a token of friendship. Let’s take a deeper look.
The Bulls released an impressive virtual experience to detail the achievement and legacy of the members of the ‘Rings of Honor’. The smooth user interface and color grading of the website is an experience you should not miss! But what’s noteworthy is that Magic Johnson has taken the time to write about Pippen’s achievements. The 5-time champion shared some of Pippen’s attributes on the court, “Scottie Pippen was a unique, multi-dimensional small forward, who was known for being dominant off the boards, deadly off the dribble, and had a killer jump shot.”
After writing about some of his favorite moments with Pippen, Johnson made it emotional towards the end. He shared, “I want to thank Scottie for changing the game of basketball as we know it. Scottie deserves the recognition and I’m proud to call him a friend.“
