If there was one thing Jordan could do, it was score. He was always there with the ball in his hand, prepared to take the tough shots. It created the iconic memories that solidified his everlasting legacy in the NBA. It was his way to pave the path to glory. He mastered the very essence of basketball – whoever scores the most points will win the game. So during his prime years as a Chicago Bulls icon, he carried this mentality and went to monstrous heights to ensure his side emerges victorious.

But the watchers could never compute just how much of a lone wolf Jordan was in terms of his offensive productions. Well, this recent stat paints the picture. In his undefeated trips to the finals, the five-time MVP never had a single teammate who scored over 22 points per game. On the other hand, LeBron James, who has been to the finals much more has had six teammates do so.

This might strike the thought that Jordan ‘carried’ the Bulls. But it is a narrow way of viewing his production. The structures of both Michael Jordan and LeBron James‘ teams have always differed. Primarily on the Bulls, everyone surrounding Jordan distributed responsibilities so that Black Jesus could attack. That was the reason Scottie Pippen was the only teammate who ever averaged over 20 points in the Bulls’ six finals.

As far as LeBron James, he is a creator, the very soul of an offense. History has proven him thriving with skillful scorers surrounding him. It was the case with Dwyane Wade, Kyrie Irving, and now Anthony Davis.

Either way, it didn’t stop the Jordan fans from running praises of their ‘GOAT’.
