The New York Knicks have scored a new player for their roster this off-season. While the Knicks players are loving every second of it, it seems Paul Pierce is in no mood to celebrate their success. The former Boston Celtics legend was asked about how big a threat the Knicks could be to the Celtics next season. Pierce said, “On the scale of one to 10, I give him about a 5.5.” The rating would be even lower if they don’t re-sign OG Anunoby.
On the latest edition of Undisputed, the cast determines if the Knicks are a threat to the Boston Celtics out east. Pierce gave them a rating of 2 if Anunoby leaves. Keyshawn Johnson disagreed and gave them a 6 without OG. According to the report, the Knicks are still determined to keep OG Anunoby in free agency. Paul Pierce wasn’t too pleased with the addition of Bridges and explained the problems that they might face with his addition.
“The thing is they gonna have chemistry issues. I mean think about this. Brunson the way they played in the playoffs if they were healthy, you probably got to say maybe they beat Indiana. But who knows, you know? Brunson giving you 29 a game so now you got to come back with Randall the next year who gave you 25 a game. You got to implement him now.” Pierce said, via UNDISPUTED. He further added that Bridges would cause the change of roles for Brunson. “You got to implement Bridges who average 20 so how is that going to change the way Brunson played?”

Paul Pierce said due to this addition, Brunson would have to change his play style and turn into a passing guard which is not his best attribute, according to the 46-year-old. Instead, he feels Knicks #11 is at his best when he’s scoring. While Pierce also added that the Knicks should have signed a superstar. But his opinion was negated by his former employer’s analyst.
Stephen A. Smith stated people should not be bothered with superstar opinions like- ‘It’s not as if Knicks landed Kevin Durant’. Smith highlights that chemistry and other things matter more. “He’s young… energetic… seasoned… defends, and he fits right into the culture of the New York. That’s all I ask…” he said on X. Similarly, other legends too chimed in with positive thoughts for the Knicks and the players.
Brunson, Bridges, Hart & DiVincenzo celebrate Nova Boys reunion
In a recent trade, the Brooklyn Nets who are reportedly looking to rebuild their team let go of their star forward, Mikal Bridges. It was a lucrative trade offer that got them Bojan Bogdanovic, four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick, an unprotected pick swap, and a second-rounder. In an unexpected reunion, Bridges joined his former Villanova Wildcats teammates, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo in NYC. And the celebration started on X as the teammates couldn’t hold their excitement.

Brunson tweeted just one word- “Omg”. Hart, on the other hand, made multiple tweets and couldn’t hold in his excitement. “YO WE F**KING LIT.” Followed by another tweet that said, “YOOOOO @mikal_bridges FINALLY HIT MY LINE!!!!!” And it seems Bridges obliged as the screenshot of the call was shared by Hart featuring the Nova Boys.
Although the accusations are running wild that there may be a contract tampering situation which the Knicks have previously experienced and fined for. In June 2022, Rick Brunson the former NBA player was signed as the assistant coach. And a month later his son Jalen signed for the Knicks. After a five-month investigation, the league stripped the Knicks of their second-round pick in 2025.
