Paul Pierce, aka, ‘The Truth’ is back at his den to show support to his favorite franchise, the Boston Celtics. While ‘America’s best player’, Jayson Tatum, was on the court giving the 76ers some tough buckets, the 2008 champion decided to click some pictures with the camera crew. The NBA shared a viral video of Pierce’s new stint, while the Celtics and the Sixers continue to give a tough battle. 

It’s been more than a year since the Celtics champion made an attendance at the TD Garden. Well, this time he is not a visitor, but a part of the NBA crew. 

Paul Pierce takes up a new job at the TD Garden

We are well aware that the 46-year-old is multi-talented on the court. But it looks like Pierce knows a lot more than basketball. In a video shared by the NBA, Pierce was seen holding a DSLR in his hand, clicking pictures of the Celtics players. 

While Pierce was busy off the court, Tatum dominated the offense to secure a win in this tight battle with the 76ers. The Embiid and Maxey-less 76ers gave a good fight, but sadly the Celtics did not want to lose on the home court, that too in front of a legend like Pierce. 

Pierce was last seen at the TD Garden in the 2022 Finals between the Celtics and the Warriors. Pierce came with Ray Allen for the game 6, where Stephen Curry and the Warriors stole a home win from the Celtics to secure another championship.

At least this time, the Celtics did not disappoint!

Jayson Tatum proves Paul Pierce’s take about him

Pierce had some heavy praise for the 25-year-old in his podcast episode with former teammate Kevin Garnett. The 2008 champion believes Tatum has surpassed LeBron James and Kevin Durant in today’s NBA. Pierce revealed, “Right now, the best American in the league is Jayson Tatum”.

Well, Tatum proved the above statement with a crucial performance today. Securing 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, the Celtics superstar made sure, Pierce was right with his take. Boston is not ready to let go of the first seed in the East. Though the Magic have 9 game win streak, Celtics are adamant at the top of the table.
