Kevin Garnett threw a curveball at Paul Pierce during their latest episode of Ticket & The Truth, asking a question no one saw coming. As always, Pierce delivered an answer in true “Truth” fashion – one that might just leave fans stunned. While The Bachelor is all about grand gestures, dramatic love stories, and just a hint of melodramatic scenes, Pierce’s response made it clear where he stands on the idea. Was it a hard pass? A surprising yes? Or something in between?
Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce’s banter on Ticket & The Truth always keeps fans entertained. And their latest exchange was no exception. In a recent Instagram post, Garnett shared a moment when he asked Pierce, “Would you do The Bachelor?” Upon hearing the question twice, Pierce paused, mulled it over, and then delivered a response that stunned Garnett – albeit momentarily.
Pierce admitted, “I probably would.” Garnett was clearly taken aback and pressed him again. “You would?” That’s when Pierce added an interesting twist. While he didn’t outright reject the idea, he made it clear he wouldn’t do it the traditional way. “Nah, I’ll do my own version,” the former Celtics star explained.

To Pierce, the reality dating show felt “too bougie,” and he isn’t about that life. But he wasn’t against the concept entirely; he just wanted to do it on his own terms. “I’ll do a form of it, not that one on national [TV],” he clarified. Still skeptical, Garnett probed further.

“Will you go through that whole thing and try to find love?” Pierce, snapping back into his usual confidence, responded with a laugh. “Yeah, yeah, for sure. I’ll do that. That would be fun.” The conversation ended with both legends bursting into laughter. But we wonder… What would The Bachelor (Paul Pierce’s Version) even look like?

Paul Pierce has always been the kind of guy who speaks from the heart, not the head. With years of experience and a spot on the Hall of Fame wall, he understands the game. Both on and off the court, better than most. Just like he didn’t hold back when calling The Bachelor “too bougie,” Pierce also didn’t shy away from speaking his mind about the recent bombshell that dropped – the sudden player moves involving the Los Angeles Lakers.
Paul Pierce on LA Lakers’ player exchange
A single trade between the Lakers and the Mavericks shook the NBA to its core: Luka Dončić in purple and gold, Anthony Davis heading to Dallas. The momentous deal sent shockwaves through the league, but Paul Pierce didn’t see it as a win for Los Angeles. The Celtics legend wasted no time sharing his unfiltered thoughts, posting on X: “He not the superstar LA needs. Doesn’t fit the mold (of) Magic, Kobe, Shaq, LeBron — just saying tho. Bad move.” Pierce’s reaction wasn’t an outlier. On social media, fans questioned whether Dončić was the right choice to carry on the Lakers’ legacy.

On paper, pairing Dončić with LeBron James seems like a dream team. But Pierce doesn’t agree with it, arguing that “both need the ball too much.” Well, at least he has a valid point there. If neither player is willing to adapt, it could spell disaster – just like the 2018-19 Celtics superteam, a roster packed with talent that ultimately fell apart due to chemistry issues.
Then, Pierce dropped his most explosive take yet. The Lakers should trade LeBron and Bronny James to the Cavaliers and build around Dončić. “The only way to save the Lakers,” he posted. It’s a wild idea, but Pierce has never been afraid to ruffle feathers. Now, all eyes are on Los Angeles. Did the Lakers just build their future dynasty, or did they set themselves up for a spectacular failure? Time will tell but if Pierce is right, Lakers fans might be in for a rude awakening.
