Super Agent Rich Paul said Bronny James would have been drafted to the NBA even if his name was “John Smith” as per TMZ. However, the Undisputed co-host of Skip Bayless agreed to the emotional side of the story but had a different viewpoint regarding the team’s performance.

Skip Bayless, on his show Undisputed, asked his co-hosts Paul Pierce and Keyshawn Johnson if the Los Angeles Lakers were a contender for the season. Johnson, a Laker fan, was optimistic, Pierce was dismissive, to say the least. “This has been a play-in team for the last four years and we get it. Do y’all know LA what LA is? The capital of entertainment this is Hollywood. This is built this year. This is what this is going to be all about now.” For him, Bronny and LeBron playing together would only be highlighted as an emotional story.

Paul Pierce also feels that if the Purple and Gold team starts trading in more competent players, there would be no room for development for Bronny. “This year this is what this is going to be about. Because if you if you start making these trades and you get all these other superstars, you know where’s that going to leave Bronny. Then is he going to be a contributor on the championship team right now?”

The former Celtics champion would rather see the Lakers like this and see Bronny get some minutes with his father. For Paul Pierce, it makes more sense. Johnson, a proud member of the Laker nation, was having none of it and said with the right trades, the Los Angeles side would be a contender once again.

Also, Cam Reddish would be accepting his $2.5M player option and will stay with the Lakers.
