This year, too, the group led by Magic and SodexoMAGIC made it a priority. After the event, held at the spot where the 3-time MVP got married to his wife Cookie, the entire event had some special connections to his heart.

The passing master had a series of tweets covering the entire event. Firstly, the Hall of Famer gave a quick recap of the invite-only, drive-through community giveaway. “Another amazing Holiday Hope in the books, this time back in my hometown Lansing, MI! We were able to feed over 1,000 families. Thank you to our incredible partners and volunteers for supporting this important initiative.”

His next message was one of gratitude to the ones who made the entire event a possibility. “Thank you to my family, friends, and local police officers for making Holiday Hope – Lansing, MI a true success.”

With Magic recently eclipsing the billionaire status, the entire endeavor was a nice way to reconnect with his roots. But, there was another who was essential to the event’s success.
