After doing the rounds of the global music festival circuit, Shaquille O’Neal decided to establish one of his own. The good folks behind Fyre Festival and the subsequent Netflix documentary proved that it’s no easy feat. But no task is too big for the 7-foot big man. The late entrant in the EDM business successfully kickstarted his Bass All-Stars Music Festival in the Lone Star State. There were some concerns about the scale of it, but Shaq took care of that too.
He had to show it off to his combined 34 million Instagram followers across two pages. And he’s already accepting suggestions for the next venue to host the event.

In recent years, DJ Diesel has built a steady name in the bass genre, appearing at all the biggest festivals. Then he created his own dubstep experience with the Bass All-Stars Music Festival. The event was held on September 16 at the Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, Texas. Shaquille O’Neal was of course the headliner.
The Los Angeles Lakers legend had to celebrate the inaugural festival on his DJ Diesel Instagram as well as his personal page.
“My first ever music festival and we sell it out… over 15,000 people strong. Texas thank u, we will run it back… Couldn’t have done it without y’all,” was written atop the video. He shared the Reel on his Instagram Stories later.
Attendees are still raving about the festival. So no one would mind an encore. Implying he’s ready for the next one, O’Neal also captioned the post with, “what city should I throw my festival at next?”

The Bass All-Stars festival boasted a lineup of 16 acts from every bass subgenre, speaking to Shaq’s extended network of musicians. Big Diesel summoned Alison Wonderland, Sullivan King, Crankdat, Kai Wachi, LAYZ, and others.
Music met basketball in this NBA-star headlined festival. There were activities like long shot basketball sprucing up the event. He also displayed his shooting skills during one song. With the expected crowd, the festival also raised several concerns among locals.

About 13,000 people were estimated to attend the festival when ticket sales went live. That number grew to 15,000.
Noise was of course an issue that concerned those in the surroundings of the Panther Island Pavilion. Those residing around the famous event venue don’t often mind the noise, but Shaq took extra measures to avoid complaints.
The Bass All-Star Music Festival was planned with noise control efforts and local authorities were informed too. Audio monitoring, positioning the speakers, measuring decibel levels, and a hotline for noise complaints were put in place.

A party guy, O’Neal has a couple of annual events to his credit like Shaq’s Fun House. The Bass All-Stars festival marks his exclusive music-only event celebrating his DIESEL brand. All we need is to make the festival a regular affair.
