Gilbert Arenas aka No Chill Gil truly reflects his persona. However, there are times when the former Washington Wizards star gets carried away, landing himself in a controversial scenario. One such instance was Gil’s indirect comments on Jalen Green and Draya Michele’s relationship. While certain stars criticized the 2x All-Star, more recently, a discussion on ‘The Bootleg Kev Podcast’ held him accountable for violating an unwritten code of the league by commenting on another star’s woman.
Appearing on the podcast, Giannis Antetokounmpo initially praised Arenas for the way he has gained success with his podcast. The discussion even involved praise for Gil’s basketball knowledge and his pop-cultural smartness. But then Antetokounmpo pointed out that it’s all fine as long as it’s just basketball, but instances like Green and Michele, according to him, were uncalled for.
“Like, it’s not only though you don’t talk about. It’s out of limits. You don’t go even go close…” he said on the podcast. The Milwaukee Bucks star also highlighted that Green is too young of a player to be facing this. And also the fact that these comments will always stay documented now and may have a negative impact on Green’s kid.

The controversy stems from Gilbert Arenas’ past with Draya Michele as the two had once dated. In fact, there were rumors that the ex-Wizards star was the father to Michele’s oldest son Kniko Howard. However, Michele cleared the rumors in 2016 in a now-deleted Instagram post.

The 39-year-old actress later revealed Kniko’s father to be from her hometown, who was sent to prison when she was seven months pregnant. But her name with Gil again got highlighted after the ex-NBA star’s indirect takes at her, for which yet another Bucks star had criticized Gil.
What exactly did Gilbert Arenas comment on Green and Michele
The comments came during a discussion between Nick Young and Arenas. Though none of them directly took Michele’s name, Gil saying “Pregnant, pregnant? Got the young boy” made it quite evident who the discussion was about.
And if this was not enough, Young recalled spotting Arenas and Michele in the backseat of a car, insinuating he was getting intimate with her. “She’s a mother now,” Gil said while speaking to the 39-year-old ex-NBA star.
Meanwhile, the comments did not go down well with Bucks’ Patrick Beverly. The 35-year-old took to his official X account to publicly criticize Gilbert Arenas. “Sidenote Yal foul. Not cool. Not at all. @GilsArenaShow,” he wrote spotlighting the fact the ex-Wizards star was speaking about another man’s woman. So far there has been no official apology from the 2x All-Star.
