In a recent episode of “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” O’Neal minimized Banchero’s skill, which outraged basketball fans and sparked a wave of hate.

O’Neal singled out Banchero when questioned about his chances of success, implying that his ability to become a household name was not as great as that of other players. Shaq stated, “yeah because you got to understand, when you say jump my jump is different than your jump. When I say jump is… “. he made a whoosh gesture to demonstrate a jump. He continued, “ Anthony’s close you know Anthony is the guy. he is right there. Tyrese, because nobody is really looking at him he can hit that star trek button. We already got eyes on Anthony. Mini-superstar we know how you are. Tyrese … You forgot a name: SGA”.
