Starting in the first week of July, this year’s “Magic Summer” shows no signs of slowing down. After exploring the picturesque Italian islands, Magic Johnson’s yacht has now docked in Montenegro. A few surprise encounters later, Magic Johnson, his wife Cookie, and their friends witnessed a warm reunion years after the 5x NBA champion had called out this former teammate over his smoking habit.

Magic Johnson, who loves to document his beautiful moments on social media, recently posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram where he reunited with his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate and Hall of Famer Vlade Divac. It was Divac who extended the invitation to the Johnsons and their friends at a luxurious hotel.

Magic captioned the post: “Caught up with my former Laker teammate and Hall of Famer Vlade Divac in Montenegro tonight! He invited me and Cookie, our guests Rodney and Holly and Mike and Natasha, to dinner at Mamula Island Hotel in Montenegro.”

Naturally, this unexpected reunion made fans both nostalgic and happy. Some fans still remembered Vlade Divac’s smoking habits from his days in LA. One wrote, “Still smoking those unfiltered cigarettes?” with a smile emoji. This comment hearkened back to a time when LA Times reporter Elliott Teaford remarked, “And there were numerous stories that he enjoyed smoking cigarettes more than shooting free throws in practice.” He further revealed Johnson himself had previously called out the 2001 NBA All-Star for this bad habit many times.

Nonetheless, it never affected their relationship as teammates and friends, as visible by this meet-up. Meanwhile, Magic Johnson’s focus hasn’t solely been on friends. He was recently on a trip with his grandchildren and family members, ending the journey with a heartfelt note: “We are truly grateful to have children and grandchildren who still enjoy spending time with us!” Interestingly, throughout his voyages, he has met many celebrity friends.

Along with their wives and a group of friends, they set sail on July 1. After exploring the vibrant landscapes of Spain and France, the Johnson-Jackson duo parted ways. Magic and Cookie then headed to Cannes to enjoy The Vestal Art Festival. There, they had a delightful meeting with the famous comedian and Family Feud host, Steve Harvey. Johnson couldn’t resist sharing the moment on Instagram, captioning the photo: “Out in Cannes, France today and ran into my friend and ‘Family Feud’ host Steve Harvey.”

Continuing their journey, the Johnsons made their way to Italy. Just a day ago, they had a surprise encounter with billionaire Jeff Bezos and his family at the renowned Quattro Passi restaurant.
