The Play-in tournament has turned out to be favorable for Kevin Hart, who hosts NBA Unplugged on ESPN. During the game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat, Hart was joined by NBA legend Dwyane Wade for an interesting segment on the show. Anyhow, the comedian did not show any mercy to his guest, as he went on to put two modern NBA players above Wade on live television. But don’t worry. Wade has his ways to get back at Hart.
Wade gave Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Maxey their flowers for being two of the most entertaining stars in the NBA. Wade said, “Tyrese Maxey is somebody that is very similar to me, and I love Anthony Edwards as well. I think both of those guys have similar tools that I had in my toolbox.” This is where Kevin Hart decided to bring out his hilarious side. He replied to Wade, “I think those guys are probably better than you were at that time.”
Wade’s face changed, but thankfully he had his entire trophy collection behind his head on a shelf. He took advantage of it. The Heat icon flexed his three championships and the 2006 Finals MVP to prove Hart wrong. The 44-year-old comedian continued, “I’m entitled to my opinion. I think D-Wade’s phenomenal but I’m just saying the player that he mentioned…I got excited about.”

Wade took the 2006 Finals MVP in his hands and kissed it, to end the debate. The 42-year-old NBA icon asked him whether they were better than him, laughed at Hart, and kissed the trophy once again. Kevin Hart couldn’t help but laugh about it. However, coming to the stats, it looks like Hart has a point here!
Are Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Maxey better than a young Dwyane Wade?
Maxey is 23 years old and he is a top candidate to win the Most Improved Player this season. At such a young age, he is the starting point guard for the championship hopefuls Philadelphia 76ers. What’s noteworthy is that he is averaging nearly 25.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds, while Wade averaged only 24.1 points, but 6.8 assists, and 5.2 rebounds at the same age. However. this was just Wade’s second season in the NBA.
Anthony Edwards, who is 22 years old, is averaging an impressive 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists, while Wade at 22 just had 16.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. Wade was a rookie when he was 22 years old. So coming to Hart’s take, he might be making sense. When compared age-wise, Edwards and Maxey are currently having a better season than Wade statistically. However, Wade is open to comparisons only if there is a trophy in your resume.
