Not the 4x NBA champ Dad. Not even the brother with G-League experience. The next big O’Neal is giving the more underrated star of the fam due credit, albeit only a little. Shaquille O’Neal’s kid #4 of six, Amirah O’Neal joined in a little social trend to show that the Big Diesel energy runs strong in the family. And she’s taking responsibility for creating another monstrous phenom on the court in the form of the youngest in the fam, Me’Arah O’Neal. If there’s any doubt, Meezy confirms it.

Amirah joined a group of Instagram users to share an ‘old basketball clip of you.’ As advertised, Mimi shared an old clip of her practice via BallIsLife.com, possibly from when she was a student at Louisiana State or Texas Southern University or even younger at Crossroads High School. While she was at it, he tagged Me’Arah to do a bit of public service. “bro let em know I taught you everything,” she directed at Meezy,

The Florida-bound future Gators star acknowledged it in typical sibling fashion. “This is partially true,” Meezy wrote after sharing Mimi’s post with a few laughing emojis to keep her 22-year-old sister humble. It’s not completely untrue though.

Me’Arah has been projected as a future basketball star ever since her dad prophesied it in his Hall of Fame speech when she was 10. Eight years later, she’s the only other McDonald’s All-American in the family after Shaq himself participated in the Jordan Classic, led her high school team through state titles, and committed to the Gators where she’ll start soon. In the build-up to her college announcement, Meezy credited her siblings for developing her as a basketball player.

Where Shaq and his ex, Shaunie Henderson, used to be worried about young Meezy getting roughed up playing with her older siblings, Myles, Shareef, Amirah, and Shaqir didn’t give her any quarter. Not only did it make her a better player, it set her apart from the Big Aristotle’s magnanimous shadow. Contrary to dominating the lower post like Shaq was notorious for throughout his NBA career, Meezy modeled her play style after Shareef who is a better shooter than Shaq. Her siblings do deserve major credit for her game.

Shaq’s most underrated star

Amirah’s basketball game doesn’t get talked about enough as much as Shareef’s, Shaqir’s, and Me’Arah’s. She’s been playing the family sport since she was 10. The 22-year-old grew up in California where she played basketball at Crossroads,. Averaging 17.2 PPG, she even earned 2019 MaxPreps California All-State Girls Team honors among other state honors.

Initially, Mimi attended her dad’s alma mater, LSU where she majored in agricultural business and international business. She didn’t see many minutes at LSU before transferring to Texas Southern University where Shaqir was. She however has put basketball behind her and is fulfilling her other passion of being an entrepreneur currently with support from her parents, stepfather, and siblings.

Mimi and Meezy just get a little extra love from their dad who dotes on his girls more than his boys. So he’s not going to mind not getting any credit for his Me’Arah’s talents.
