“You got the Dwayne Wade jersey on with Thanos chin.” This is not a comment from an angry fan, but a former Golden State Warriors player Gilbert Arenas. The disappointment has been the loudest since the moment of the statue’s unveiling. Despite that, Dwyane Wade and the family have been relaxed and are focusing on celebrating one of the greatest honors. But the remarks have not seen a stop yet. It was Draymond Green and Baron Davis this time, imagining what could have went on behind the scenes.
First, it was Davis who started it all. “I think they were like, ‘Yo, D-Wade, we need you to pose for this statue.’ And you know how busy he is. He’s like, ‘man, I ain’t got all day.’ And this sh** was taking all day. So he called his cousin and said, ‘Hey man, feel me.‘” Draymond Green was quick with a question, “So you think it’s not D-Wade?” Davis continued the hilarious trolling on the podcast.
“It could be his cousin. He was like, man, ‘I’m tired of this sh**. Hey cousin, stand in for me.’ And the artist didn’t know if it was D-Wade or the cousin.” That’s when Green stated, “DeShaun Wade.” — who has no actual relationship with Dwyane Wade, but the Warriors star’s impeccable timing is commendable.

But before the remarks could get out of hand, Baron Davis once again clarified that the jokes were on the funny-looking sculptor, not the Heat legend’s legacy.
“Damn man, shout out to D-Wade man. We love you, bro. We love you, bro.” The 2x All-Star stated on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis. The criticism has been rampant and many are complaining the same, that the emotional and celebratory weekend turned out to be disrespectful.

Few more Warriors-associated players had an issue with the statue of Dwyane Wade
The frustration reached a boiling point for Matt Barnes, as the former Warriors Star was ready to throw hands. “Who do I got to slap over this D-Wade statue?” The Warriors star even wanted to know if there way any way that they could fix the statue. He suggested, “Man, my question is, can they cut the head off and keep the body and redo the face?” Later, admitting that he doesn’t want to offend the artist or anybody else, but the statue needs rework.

Earlier, Arenas comment was not the only one he made. “But the problem is you can’t let the ex-wife design the face… The only way it looked like that is the ex-wife is like ‘Yeah, yeah… Give him that chin. Put his eyes this way. Put his mouth open… That’s what he gonna look like when he see this sh**.” On his podcast, the former Warriors star is usually unfiltered with his comments, and that was the case once again. But how is Dwyane Wade reacting to the entire situation?
Not just him, but his wife Gabrielle Union too is unbothered by the social media commentary. She shared an Instagram story explaining how the 3x NBA Champion reacts to this situation. Which even Wade shared on his social media. “One thing about @dwyanewade He really isn’t moved or motivated by nan negative. Trust me, I’VE TRIED!!!” Gab had written. So Wade is welcoming any reaction that comes their way, respecting opinions, but only grateful for the honor bestowed upon him.
