“As great as Steph Curry is, that was an awful shot. Steph deserves some blame for this loss,” said Charles Barkley after the Warriors lost to the Rockets in the NBA Cup quarterfinals on Tuesday. With 12 seconds on the clock and the Warriors clinging to a one-point lead, Steph Curry launched a tightly contested three-pointer. The shot didn’t go in, leaving the door wide open for the Rockets. But Chuck also felt bad after seeing him on Shaqtin’a Fool courtesy of an incident in a different NBA Cup game.
Shaqtin’a Fool has become a go-to source for the NBA’s most hilarious and ridiculous moments. Over the years, it’s captured plays so absurd, that you can’t help but crack up. Whether it’s an air ball or a misstep, Shaqtin’ makes sure we never miss the fun.
During the Warriors matchup against the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic faked Curry really badly. He sent him looking for a pass while he still had it. Curry didn’t even realize it until it was too late. The clip made it to Shaqtin. Chuck and Kenny Smith were shocked, to say the least. “No! Not Sreph Curry!” Charles Barkley exclaimed. “He’s never been on this,” Kenny added. “Oh my god, I’ve never seen Steph Curry on Shaqtin’a fool.” O’Neal didn’t forget to fire a shot at his ESPN rival Stephen A. Smith, saying, “He’s looking more like Stephen A. Curry.”

Curry has spent his career dazzling fans with jaw-dropping highlights—clutch threes, ankle-breaking handles, and unforgettable performances. But for all his moments of brilliance, Shaqtin’ a Fool was never part of his story. That’s what Kenny and guys made you believe but that’s not the case. Steph has made the infamous segment before, sometimes due to his teammates as well.
However, the most infamous incident happened over five years ago in a game against the Lakers when the NBA’s all-time leading three-point scorer slipped on an open fast-break dunk attempt and followed it up with an air ball from three. It was so embarrassing that even he laughed it off. Guess even the best aren’t immune to a little on-court comedy! It hasn’t been as fun-hearted on the court for the Warriors, though.
The game slipped away from the Warriors

On Dec 4th, the Denver Nuggets and the Golden State Warriors faced off in a high-stakes West Group C matchup during the NBA Emirates Cup. The game lived up to the hype, showcasing two Western Conference heavyweights battling it out. By the end, it was the Nuggets who walked away with a 119-115 win, thanks to a few critical plays that made all the difference.
From the jump, it was a nail-biter. Both teams traded buckets like they were auditioning for a basketball montage in a sports movie. Tied at halftime, it felt like anyone’s game until the final minutes. That’s when the Warriors ran out of gas, giving the Nuggets just enough breathing room to pull away.
Nikola Jokic dominated the night for the Nuggets, recording 38 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists with 58.3% accuracy. Michael Porter Jr. had his back, putting up 22 points and 7 boards in just under 24 minutes. Jamal Murray, despite struggling with his shot (4-for-12), still managed 12 points and 7 assists, proving why he’s the guy you trust to keep things steady.

For the Warriors, it was vintage Steph Curry leading the charge, finishing with 24 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds. But his shooting? Let’s just say it wasn’t a Chef Curry kind of night, as he hit only 8 of his 23 attempts. Without Draymond Green, Jonathan Kuminga stepped into a bigger role, scoring 19 points with 5 rebounds on a solid 50% from the floor. Moses Moody also showed up, giving the team 13 points off the bench. Watching Curry carry the load while his younger teammates tried to pitch in felt like seeing a lead actor trying to hold up a shaky sequel—it had heart but just missed the mark.
