Stephen Curry is arguably the greatest shooter the NBA has ever seen. Making 3-pointers that most can only dream of makes the Golden State Warriors icon quite the player. A 4x NBA champion during his 14-year stint in the league, Curry has mastered the art of shooting. A complete guard with a little default in his defense, not many can replicate the career that this man has had.

Surpassing the careers of his dad and brother, Steph is now in a bracket of his own. Taking the mantle of the leading all-time 3-point scorer in the NBA, Curry also is the only player to make 500 career playoff threes. With such an impressive resume, there is still disrespect to the legend’s name today. One such NBA icon was shut down by Kevin Garnett a few months ago when he tried disrespecting Curry. Showing his appreciation for the guard, KG recently liked a post made on Curry, upholding the 4x champion’s words of wisdom.

The ‘.5 basketball’ Curry speaks of is a method in which a person must make a decision to shoot, pass, or drive within half a second of catching the ball. A feature of his own game, the rule allows players to make more precise decisions during in-game scenarios.

Explaining it to the kids on the video, Curry relates to holding the ball for more than a second as a grenade. Continuing to speak about it, he states. “If you held the ball for one second, that’s a grenade, it blew up and it’s done. So, think about that, I need .5 seconds to make a decision.”

While Garnett seems to be impressed, it’s not the first time that he has shown appreciation towards Curry.

Kevin Garnett defends Stephen Curry from former teammate

During an episode of the ‘KG Certified Podcast’, Celtics legend Kevin Garnett was joined by his former teammate Paul Pierce. The duo alongside others analyzed the 2021-22 season, breaking it down for all 30 teams. While speaking about the Warriors, the group got into discussing Stephen Curry, during which Pierce stated, “Not in my top 10 right now.

It was a shocker, as many believe that Curry only needs to surpass Magic Johnson to be the GOAT guard. Pierce’s statements were a shocker to KG’s ears. Going on to defend Curry, he argued. “You are tripping. The man changed the game in the way you shoot first, secondly, he does it on a consistent basis.”
