Charles Barkley is overusing that guarantee button. But this time it was not squeaky ducks, feathers, or ping-pong balls. Confirming Sir Charles’s conviction to break the “Barkley parley” tonight were solid (not real) hockey pucks. For reference, he’s been 3-27 this season so far. He wanted to redeem himself with another win tonight because he may have spread the curse outside basketball too.

Chuck dropped by NHL on TNT this week and took a gamble on Game 4 between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs. The curse of the Chuck Guarantee struck the Leafs, who are 1-3 after Game 4. Hence, Paul Bissonnette took a ‘Biz Nasty’ revenge on Chuck for that.

Tonight, he was overly confident telling Shaquille O’Neal, “We gonna win tonight, Shaq.” He should’ve been suspicious of why the TNT crew was egging him to press the button. The puck shower sounded more painful than the rubber duckies. It made even Shaq go, “That look like it hurt Chuck.” TNT even helpfully showed Chuck who set him up.

Bissonette spent the after-hours of his TNT shift getting a lift up to the rafters of Studio J so he could personally rig the release system with the softer version of pucks. He even threw in ’90s cartoon villain antics, anticipating the rude surprise Chuck’s going to get.

All this after Biz Nasty played Chuck’s butler and protected him from his co-hosts. He was excited about his vengeance enough to flaunt it on his official social media page alongside the TNT pages.

Charles Barkley’s love-hate relationship with Biz

The Inside Guys took turns to visit the NHL on TNT sets this week. Charles Barkley came with a purpose. That’s when Paul Bissonnette donned his butlery finest to carry the Chuck Guarantee button regally. To cement Chuckster’s support, Biz even formally gave him the requested Leafs cap. When Chuck pressed this guarantee button, this time, there was no release system but the NHL guys raining him with silly string. Biz even bravely jumped in to protect him from the strings.

His feelings seem to have changed after the Chuck Guarantee struck. Toronto lost to the Bruins, 1-3. Boston is now one game away from winning the series. Chuck is getting some of the blame for that because of Biz.

After finding out Biz set him up, Barkley’s grouse was, “Biz you threw me under the bus last night.” Despite the ill feelings and being hit by dozens of pucks, Barkley loves his favorite NHL analyst. He called him the best and said, “Biz rubbing off on me.” This is the kind of crossover TNT viewers live for.
