The 4x NBA champion’s parents were very strict about his academics and grades. O’Neal’s mother, Lucille O’Neal, was upset over his decision to drop out of Louisiana State University for the NBA. Nevertheless, the player had tremendous success in the NBA as well as in his academics.
He promised his parents that he would come back and complete his education. And he kept his promise. In the year 2000, the Los Angeles Lakers legend finished his bachelor’s degree at LSU. Then he went on to pursue his MBA from the University of Phoenix. Well, the athlete also finished his doctorate in education from Barry University in Miami. He is indeed a legend!
