NBA legend Charles Barkley is a massive football fan and closely follows the NFL. Furthermore, he avidly bets on games as well. Over the years, Barkley has been seen attending many games too. The Philadelphia 76ers legend never misses out on an opportunity to witness the Super Bowl. However, the basketball Hall of Famer is unsure about making the trip to Las Vegas for this season’s ultimate stage after a dreadful experience last year with the NBA.
This season’s finale, the Super Bowl LVIII, will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 11, 2024. A lot of fans are already excited about the festivities during the showdown. However, Barkley is a bit wary.

Charles Barkley recently joined sports analyst Dan Patrick via video conference for a new episode of the Dan Patrick Show.?During the podcast, the two discussed a variety of interesting topics surrounding the sports world. In one instance, the host asked the 11x NBA All-Star about his bets for the NFL season. The 1993 NBA MVP stated that he has been betting on the Detroit Lions and his bets are doing good, as the Lions are off to a flying start.
He also talked about his bets for the MLB ahead of the playoffs. Patrick then asked Barkley about his plans for the Super Bowl LVIII. Barkley stated that even though he and his friends have been to 26 straight Super Bowls, he is not sure about this one because of his experience with the NBA All-Star event in Vegas and even called it “one of the worst”.
Barkley said, “But we know it’s going to be ridiculous and stupid and crazy! So we’re trying to decide to be honest. We’ve got time. We’ve been 26 straight years! Vegas is the best place in the world for the Super Bowl.”

He added, “Because the last time I went there for a big event was the NBA All-Star game. It was one of the worst experiences of my life! It took like two hours to go two blocks!”
The Hall of Famer is sure that people from all around the country will travel to Vegas for the Super Bowl. After struggling with heavy traffic during the NBA All-Star weekend in 2007, Barkley is considering inviting his friends over to his mansion for the Super Bowl.

Fans are excited about the Super Bowl
Even though it is still week 4 of the new NFL season, fans are already excited for the Super Bowl LVIII. Notably, it was recently announced that superstar Usher will perform during the half-time show. This took the internet by storm.
Usher previously performed at the halftime show of Super Bowl XLV alongside the Black-Eyed Peas. Interestingly, NBA superstar LeBron James expressed his excitement about the announcement. However, the fans are divided. While some fans were excited, others were not happy.
